Stichting Hart voor Afrika is responsible for processing your personal data. This means that we determine the purposes and means of this processing and that we make sure the legal requirements are met.

Processing donations

When you donate to Stichting Hart voor Afrika, we use your personal information to process the transaction carefully. We receive your donation details through your bank. For this we collect your payment information, telephone number, gender, address details and email address. This is a legal obligation. This information is kept for seven years, in line with the statutory retention period.

Contact form and newsletter

Through our contact form you can ask questions or submit requests. We use your telephone number, email address and address details for communication purposes. This data is kept until we are confident that you are satisfied with our response and for six months after that, so that we can easily answer any follow-up questions.

With your consent, your email address is added to our subscriber list, and we keep this information until you unsubscribe from the newsletter.

Photos of projects

We take and publish photos of project locations with respect for the people in them and with their consent. Are you in a photo and would you like it removed? Email us; we will then take the photo off the website.
